Passport control

Once passengers have passed the customs control they are to pass passport control as well.

Entry and exit rules are in many respects regulated by the agreements between the states.

More detailed and updated information could be found in consular institutions of the Мinistry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation (http://www.mid.ru/bdomp/sitemap.nsf), Russian Embassies.

Visa or other entry permits control is the subject of transport company (carrier) responsibility. When departing from the country, specialists of the External Border Control Department are only to check the allowance of a passenger to be on territory of Russian Federation but not control their right to enter a foreign state.

The Russian Federation citizen may not be deprived of the right to enter the Russian Federation. In case of loss of documents outside Russia the Russian Federation citizen should apply to the nearest Embassy or Consulate General of Russia.

The non-compliance with the entry/transit regulations and requirements results in notice or fines imposition on foreign citizens or stateless citizens under administrative law with a possible banishment from the Russian Federation. More detailed and updated information could be found in consular institutions of the Мinistry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation or Russian Embassies.
